Erasure
return with their first studio album since 2000. Other People's Songs sees
a return of form for Andy & Vince and a fantastic potential top twenty
album.
The first single, 'Solsbury Hill' is the albums strongest
track. With it's poppy tune and sing a long lyrics the lead song to the
album is a classic Erasure hit not written by Erasure. It's an excellent
album with Vince's synths sounding as excellent as ever and Andy's voice
has really improved since Loveboat.
The strongest tracks are Solsbury Hill, Make Me Smile (Come Up and see
me), Everyday, When Will I See you Again and Ebb Tide. After Ebb Tide, the
album slows down and includes the Righteous Brothers classic You've Lost
That Loving Feeling. This is where Andy's voice excels and is beautiful
song of soullfullness. The album is full of the trademark electronica
sound and ends on a good note with
'Video Killed The radio Star' which Vince made on his computer. A real
good funny one!
